Organization of the Hawaii State
Society:
On 6 April 1961 Mrs. Clarence Wollman was appointed
Organizing President in Hawaii. The Chapter was named after her
ancestor Col. Morgan Morgan [1 Nov. 1688-17 Nov. 1766]. In April
Of 1963 the charter was presented to Mrs. B. Howell Bond. There
have been some setbacks in both 1965 and 1996, but the ladies have
over come them. The State Society came into being due to a National
By-laws Amendment in 1996.
Pertinent Facts about the Hawaii Society:
Past members who have held office at the National
level were Mrs. B. Howell Bond, Mrs. Robert E. Nitz, and Mrs. Ramon
E. Maddox.
Due to our being an Island State, it takes a bit
of travel time to National. Our membership changes with ladies,
coming and leaving with their families.
